We've had these two stunning workbenches come in, if only they could tell us their history. We're selling them for £150 each. With a rich patina these would make awesome retail display tables or with some restoration a lovely kitchen island!
Yesterday, a lovely lady passed by our shop, with a very peculiar query...![]()
"70 years ago, I used to go to a school near your shop.. there was a church by the school, I'd like to find the old building I used to frequent as a child. I think it was St.Joseph's, can you help me find it?"![]()
A few minutes later, after some digging, we found out there was a church and a school in this area. 70 years ago, a rocks throw from the shop, kids used to play and people would pray. We managed to pinpoint the exact location where the church once stood and we escorted her out the shop to show her to the spot where the church once stood. Memories flowed back instantly, she started pointing out where the old school was, her old house up the road and the old dockyard entrance that also stood near. She was now happy, reunited with her old stomping ground, the smile on her face showed that, and a flood of tears followed. She left soon after, feeling accomplished knowing she had returned to where she grew up.![]()
